Nagpur: The property is worth more than RS40 Lakh destroyed in a large fire on the ground plus three commercial-housing buildings at Besa Road on Tuesday night.
There were no casualties reported in the incident, the fire department said, added that the cause of the fire was uncertain.
According to officials, the fire broke around 11:50 a.m.
at Sai Shraddha apartment.
The first two floors of buildings, including the ground floor, are used for commercial purposes.
The ground floor has two companies – one shoe store owned by Ramesh Bhoyar Ram and other eating joints owned by Krushikesh Patel.
The fire may have started from the ground floor which swallowed the first floor and then damaged the housing flats on the second and third floors, officials said.

The food joints also burned and losses were pegged at Rs30,000.
However, firefighters managed to contain fire.
Blaze also caught a bakery on the first floor.

Before the fire put out household items in the flat, firefighting personnel managed to control the flames.
Fire extinguisher of the fire department and NMC emergency services also attended three fire calls again, including two houses near Locary Metro station Nagar at Hingna Road, near Azad Chowk conscious and a decorative company at Navi Shukrawari on Tuesday night.
The first fire erupted due to a leak in the gas cylinder, the second due to electricity errors and the third due to exploding firecrackers.
