Madikeri: The vehicle rally demanded a cabinet bed for MLA Appachu Ranjan who took off from Kodagu reaching Bengaluru on Tuesday.
BJP workers and supporters of Ranjan organized the ‘Bengaluru Chalo’ movement and nearly 150 vehicles carrying nearly 450 people from Kushalnagar, Somwarpet, gikoccal, Sunticoppa, and Virjapet reached their request.
Even though CM had given them appointments at 3:30 a.m., the supporters were stopped by the police in Freedom Park and were not permitted to approach the house of CM.
Later that day, around 20 supporters of the Ranjan and the BJP office carriers met with the Chairman of the Bukavaraj Bommai Minister at his residence that their request would be fulfilled during the next expansion, subject to permission from the senior party.
His supporters claimed that Ranjan was 5 times MLA from Kodagu and that he had effectively handled the problems faced by people during the flood and pandemic.
