Ludhiana: Upset of his relatives and a friend who did not return the money borrowed from him, a man suicide by consuming toxic substances at Jain Nagar, Shivpuri, on Monday.
The police have registered a case against four accused, including a woman, for suicidal reduction.
The deceased has been identified as Gurmet Singh, 42, which has a readymade clothing store in Shivpuri.
FIR was submitted to his wife’s statement Gurpreet Kaur against Manpreet Singh Setyhi, his father-in-law’s father Kuldeep Singh, both the New Shivpuri residents, another son-in-law of Kuldeep Ajit Singh from Dugri and a woman Ishu Khurana, also from New Shivpuri.
In his complaint, Gurpreet said Kuldeep was their relatives and his son-in-law, who worked as a DJ, has been in 2019 told her husband that he was in contact with many singers and with their help he could help finish their entire family in America.
Manpreet demanded Rs 70 lakh for the job and they agreed to pay money.
He added that in January-February 2019, they paid Rs 50 Lakh with installments for Manpreet.
A few months later, Ajit and Kuldeep said that they needed more money, and Gurmeet took more Rs 15 lakh.
However, even after getting Rs 65 Lakh, the defendant did not send them abroad, he said, he added that when her husband demanded money back, the defendant began to make reasons.
He said Ishu Khurana also borrowed Rs 20 lakh from her husband he did not return.
“My husband was upset because of this monetary problem.
Because this he committed suicide was arrested.
