Apple was reportedly said to add support for WiFi 6E in the upcoming iPhone 13 series.
According to the Digitimes report, Apple prepares to offer WiFi 6E.
“New WiFi technology is expected to be a standard feature of iOS and Android smartphones in 2022,” Digitimes quoted the source.
With WiFi 6E, you can expect the iPhone 13 model to offer higher wifi speeds and connectivity will be more reliable.
But note that you will need a new 6GHz 6GHz WiFi router to enjoy features on your new iPhone 13.
Is that wifi 6e? You are familiar with two WiFi bands – 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
With 2.4GHz, the wifi range increases while 5GHz offers more data speed.
Now, there is a third band: 6GHz, with the introduction of WiFi 6E.
Of course, with wifi 6E, you can expect faster data speed but more important is that your WiFi network (on wifi 6E) will be free of all congestion and you will not see WiFi connectivity fall on your device.
No matter the data package you have chosen or how much money you spend every month, if there are too many wifi networks around you, either at 2.4GHz or 5Hz, there will be a disturbance and you will not get a stable wifi connection throughout the day.
Now, if you go with specifications, the highest speed wifi in 5GHz and 6GHz is the same – 9.6gbps.
That is the maximum speed that can be achieved by the current WiFi 6 standard.
In fact, commercial internet service providers will not be able to free you at such speed.
But speed is not a problem with 5GHz wifi, the real problem is the availability of spectrum and with 6GHz (wifi 6E), there will be four times more bandwidth, ultimately helping smartphones get high speed internet.
To get WiFi 6E, you must get a router that supports it and will be able to broadcast connectivity at 6GHz.
And with support for WiFi 6E in the upcoming iPhone 13 series, you can expect more reliable connections that are faster too.
