Apple was reported to work on the 15-inch iPad to compete with Amazon’s Echo Show 15.
In his latest power in the newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman discussed how Apple products do not have a smart and Apple display can come with a large iPad screen.
In the bulletin, he noted that Apple only has 5% of the smart speaker market, according to consumer intelligence research partners.
While Amazon and Google accounted for 69% and 25% of sales.
“Apple knew that the success of the product’s ecosystem depends on the existence of its customers …
but Apple has become a slung in one main area: home.
It’s far behind rivals like Google and Alphabet Inc.’s Google in smart speakers and related devices,” Writing Gurman.
Apple can have an advantage over Amazon by stretching iPad to 15 inches, something Gernman has reported that Apple also explores before.
With central home devices, Apple, he said it could eliminate some weaknesses of echo, such as the design thicker than needed, slow and limited, and the camera below standard.
Cupertino-based companies will also have advantages on the software fronts because they have the App Store.
Gurman at this time made several guesses that can be included by Apple with the device.
He suggested that iPhone makers can create a new software layer – which he calls home-mode that optimizes devices for stationary use.
Products, he said, could be doubled as an ordinary iPad and replacement of laptops that you can carry anywhere.
However, iPhone makers may have to overcome two major warnings.
First, if Apple decides to change the iPad to a giant device, it won’t want to compromise on quality and features.
That means it will be expensive.
Second, Siri still needs work understanding work, utilizing third party services and taking the desired action.
To remember, Apple launched a homecide in 2014, letting customers control equipment from the iPhone and iPad.
The first Smart Homepod speaker debuted in 2017.
While the initial homepod was a failure, the newer $ 99 version had been sold better.
