Apple can enter titanium alloys in the iPad chassis in the future instead of aluminum-based metals, a new report by Digitimes has claimed.
This report is actually about the upcoming iPad that can be equipped with the physical vapor deposition (PVD) application to increase tablet scratch resistance but also speculates about titanium-based chassis used for the iPad in the future.
Because of the high cost involved, Apple can take your own time to introduce material to iPad, maybe miss one or two generations.
Previously, a similar report had claimed that the iPhone 14 could only be made from titanium, avoiding the design of aluminum and stainless steel cases.
Titanium happens to be a metal that is stronger and more durable and because Apple products usually have a long life, implementation in design makes the device stronger on paper.
If Apple is considering the merger of titanium to iPad and iPhone, and maybe even a MacBook, it will be a big change considering the material used because the latest models have been produced with aluminum and / or stainless steel.
This is not the first time the company uses titanium because it already has it as a casing on Apple Watch (making it the most expensive Apple Watch too) and Apple cards.
When it comes to integration on a larger scale like an iPhone or iPad, this is a completely new ball game and how Apple will take into account the price of the model after that and ensure that they do not prevent the most vibrant apple fans still have to be seen.
