Cupertino-based technology giant Apple has announced the Hybrid work model to get employees back to the office.
With Covid-19 vaccination drive – especially in the US – hitting impressive numbers, companies like Apple want employees to come to the office.
A report by the threshold said that Apple has rejected work from home demand for many employees.
Apple Hybrid Work Model: What that means for CEO CEO of Kursaha Tim Cook has written a memo to employees who say that most of them must come to the office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, starting September.
They will be given the choice to work remotely on Wednesday and Friday.
There will be a team that needs to come to the office for four to five days a week too.
The company has also provided opportunities for employees to work remotely for two weeks a year but it depends on the manager’s approval.
Why employees are not happy now the report by the threshold quotes the sagging channel where Apple employees encourage long distance work.
About 10 employees said they quit the company because of the Apple hybrid work model.
Some also said that other employees were forced to stop over this issue.
The report said that the Slack channel has more than 6,000 members.
Employees, according to the report, have talked about getting Apple’s attention about this problem.
In June, employees conducted an internal and more chocolate survey of 35% uncomfortable with the Apple hybrid work model.
The report said that some employees suggested writing other letters to voice their concerns.
Some of them are rumored to also talk about considering their legal choices about this problem.
Apple hasn’t commented on this problem so far.
Some other technology companies such as Facebook, Twitter has given their employees the choice to work from home permanently.
