Apple may only be forced to add a USB-C port to the iPhone

When it comes to the choice of port connectivity, Apple always has complex justification.
Although it’s fast to adopt a USB type-C for MacBooks, there is no intention to throw the old lightning port and replace it with a USB type-c.
But, now Apple might be forced to put a USB-C port on its iPhone.
The European Union has struggled to port charging and shared chargers for all smartphones for some time now.
Battle above various types of chargers are complete for Android phone users because all devices are equipped with a type-C USB port for charging and data transfer.
But iPhone users are still stuck with separate chargers and the EU feels high now must change.
The European Union felt that by making general chargers for all smartphones, cellular brands would help reduce electronic waste disposal.
On the other hand, Apple believes that suddenly stopping the lightning port on the iPhone will make more electronic waste considering there are many iPhone fillers out there globally.
However, according to the report by Yahoo! Finance, the EU plans to propose a shared charger legislation in September.
If the EU successfully passes this law, Apple must adopt the type-C USB port for the iPhone sold in Europe.
Now, it is very unlikely that Apple will have a different charging port for the iPhone on the European market and the whole world.
For those who did not realize, Apple recently stopped providing a charging adapter and earphones in new iPhone boxes to reduce electronic waste.
But in France, Apple was forced to provide free earphones in the box because local law mandated it.
In France, there is no cellular brand that can sell smartphones without earphones by laws that are said to help people with hearing disabilities.
