Homepod and Mini Smart Speaker homepod will soon have spatial and lossless audio support through the Apple music application.
Apple has released the Beta 5 homepod update that adds a new toggle dedicated to Dolby atmos in the home application.
In beta updates, Apple also explains what every toggle is done.
Lossless audio features, Apple said, maintain every detail of the original file.
“Turning this will consume data significantly more,” it warns.
With the Dolby Atmos feature, songs in Dolby Atmos and other Dolby audio formats will be played on the speaker homepod.
However, not all beta users will be able to see Toggle.
To check whether the feature is available on their devices, users must run the latest Beta iOS 15 and Homepod version.
Here’s the way the user can check opening the home application click on the house icon available in the upper left corner over “home settings” and click on your profile in “Media,” Click on the “Apple Music” tab here you will see the newly added toggle – Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos (if available on your device) at this time, users can use the speaker homepod with Dolby Atmos by connecting it with Apple TV 4k.
Earlier this year, Apple said that it would bring streaming lossless music to HomeEpod and Mini HomeEpod through software updates.
Then, do not provide a time line.
With the latest beta launch, it seems that the feature will be available soon for all users.
