Apple reportedly planned to add another MacBook to the Vintage product list this month.
According to the internal memo obtained by Macrumor, the technology giant will add a mid-2012 model from the 13-inch MacBook Pro to the Vintage product list on December 31.
Apple regularly adds a device to a vintage list that has been stopped for sale more than 5 and less than 7 years ago.
However, Apple shops and official Apple service providers continue to offer improvements to vintage products for up to seven years.
The MacBook Pro that the company reportedly planned to add a vintage list to be launched in June 2012 and it was the last Mac with a default CD / DVD drive sold by Apple.
This device is available for purchase until October 2016.
It is sold as a lower price option along with a 13-inch MacBook Pro Thinner with a retinal display.
Laptops continue to receive support from Apple to 2020.
The technology giant dropped support for 13-inch MacBook Pro with MacOS Big Sur.
The company also reportedly added the iPhone 6 plus in the same list.
Smartphones were launched by the company in September 2014 along with iPhone 6.
While the company stopped the iPhone 6 Plus in 2016, the iPhone 6 was available in several regions until 2018.
The iPhone 6 Plus is one of the most popular smartphones.
The company has sold, thanks to a larger 5.5-inch screen.
Regardless of vintage products, there is something called outdated products too.
Outdated products, on the other hand, are those who were stopped more than 7 years ago.
The big difference is that vintage products get hardware services from Apple while obsolete products do not get support at all.
Apple routinely updates this list and you can check the same support website on Apple.
