Apple recently released Monterey MacOS for the public and now the technology giant has stated the first public beta MacOS Monterey 12.1 for testing purposes.
Protected in WWDC in June, MacOS Monterey presents important features to the PC but some features are lost when the company releases updates.
One of these features is Shareplay which has been launched in the latest beta update.
It can be expected that the feature will be available for all users immediately when the company will release a stable update for the public.
The Shareplay feature was first introduced on iOS 15.1, iPados 15.1, and TVOS 15.1.
This feature gives users the ability to stream movies, TV, music, and other media using FaceTime.
When users play media, playbacks begin to all groups simultaneously.
This feature only works on Apple devices with the latest operating system.
Here’s how to use the SharePlay feature in MacOS Monterey starting facetime calls with one or more users.
After connecting, open the music application or stream video on your device.
But keep in mind that all participants in the call must have a subscription to the application.
At present, this feature only supports Apple Music and Apple TV but the company said that support for third-party applications will soon be available.
After you play something, other participants will ask for a request to receive or reject SharePlay requests.
When you play music or videos, it will automatically be shared with other users too.
You can also share your entire screen including third-party applications and content.
To end SharePlay, you can tap the icon in the upper left corner of your device, tap Shareplay icon and select End SharePlay.
