Other popular brands such as Oppo, Vivo and Realme also see a drop in the range of 32% to 42%.
“Brands with only superior cellphones such as Apple & Oneplus are most affected by more than 50% of sales decreases.
Brands with dominant mobile phones such as Xiaomi, Lava and the most affected small brands,” said Kunal Sarkar, Vice President, Predictive.
The smartphone market in the range between RS 15,000 and RS 30,000 is the most affected during the locking period.
“Values ​​and volumes in big and medium cities have declined by 56% and 58%,” he added.
The market under 10,000 rs shows the least reduction in sales that people are looking to get more value for their money during uncertain locking periods.
The decline in smartphone sales began in March 2021 while maximum in April.
The RS 20,000 smartphone market above also took a significant hit until the sales decline of up to 48% during the period.
Sales of powerful smartphones in urban mega cities while in big and medium cities there is a drop of up to 56%.
