Apple has been given a new patent by US patents and trademark offices (USPTO).
The patent is related to checking the hydration rate of an individual with the help of Apple Watch, according to the report by Apple patents.
The method described in a patent agreement by taking individual sweat samples by measuring one or more electrical nature sweat with the help of electrodes on the watch.
Data collected in the form of electrical properties can then be correlated with electrolyte concentration in sweat.
As mentioned, some electrodes are present at the base of the Apple Watch button, positioned on the inside of the wrist strap, can do data collection tricks by measuring the electrical properties.
According to the report, “high level of electrical conductance to sweat can show high electrolyte concentrations and low hydration levels” and vice versa.
This measurement can then be used to remind users and provide feedback on the level of hydration in the body while it is involved in several fitness related activities.
