Trichy: Actor and Makkal Needhi MAIAM (MNM) President Kamal Haasan on Friday insisted on imposing the right to serve acting in a sustainable session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
“The Tamil Nadu government must pass the action to prevent corruption and ensure timely services to the general public at the government office.
It will be large enough if it can be done on the last day of the first assembly session of 2022; at this time,” said Kamal Haasan in a statement.
He also showed that the powerful DMK election manifesto had promised to bring the action.
He remembered the advice of Madras High Court to the Government of Tamil Nadu because he imposed the action.
Kamal said that the address of the governor in the last assembly session was mentioned to impose action.
“It was very disappointing that the action had not been applied so far,” he said.
Increasing its concern for the delay in providing government services to the community and alleges that the right action has not been taken on complaints petitions submitted by the people, the MNM leader said that if the action was put in place, the services provided by the government must be completed in the specified time.
“In the case of not providing services to the public, the officers concerned can be fined and punished.
The subtle collected can be given to affected people,” Kamal said.
The right to the Service Law will open the way for the community to get government services at the specified time without waiting for a long time, Kamal said, adding that the MNM has been vocal about demand.
He said that the action applies in 20 states including Haryana, Bihar, New Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Separate departments have been created in Madhya Pradesh and Goa to check whether government services immediately reach out to people, he added.
