Chennai: Tamil Nadu (TNEA) technical acceptance committee on Wednesday set a random number of 10 digits to all 1.74 lakh applicants for engineering counseling.
Random numbers will be used as one of the criteria for ranking in case of students more scores of the same cutoff sign during the ranking.
“Random number has been produced for all applicants.
Candidates who have registered their applications can pay fees until August 27.
Those who have paid the fees and certificates uploaded can check the verification status of the certificate,” said a TNEA official.
According to the changed rules, if more students print the same cutoff sign, their Inter-Se-Preste will be determined in the following order: sign in mathematics, physics, optional subject, total signs in qualification checks, total signs in standard x, date Born, random number assigned.
A list of technical rankings will be released on September 4.
Technical counseling for special categories will be conducted from September 7 to 11.
For the general category, it will be held from September 14 to October 4.
