Chennai: India Institute of Technology Madras and Research and Training Laboratory Monolith launched advanced diploma programs in virtual realities to be offered in online and offline mode.
This course will open for anyone with a technical background, including students who are currently listed in a technical degree, anywhere in the country.
The main objective is to serve the increasing needs of highly skilled professionals in virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality (XR) and HAPTIS technology.
The application will be available from November 2021 and the first batch will begin from January 2022.
This course will have an annual intake of 50 students.
This course will be coordinated by IIT Madras by the center of the superiority of virtual reality and haptics, regulated under the initiative of the ‘Institute of Eminence’ from the Indian government.
The MoU about this collaboration was signed by Prof.
Devendra Javan, Chairperson, CCE Sustainable Education Center (CCE) – Iit Madras, and Yathirajan Varadharajan, Director, Monolith Research and Training Lab, Monolith Asia Partner Company, a Japanese media communication technology company.
This graduate course will have potential employment opportunities with IT companies, animated industries, architecture, and engineering industry for health care products and media.
