Bhubaneswar: The Department of Higher Education has invited an online application for scholarship awards under e-Medhabruti and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti for 2021-22 of students who qualify from Odisha who pursue scholars (UG), and professional courses inside and outside Odisha .
The application will be available starting January 5 at the portal
www.scholarship.odisha.gov.in.
The last date of the online application for students is February 5.
The Principal or Head of Institution will validate students’ records on February 20.
Meanwhile, the government has issued guidelines for student elections for this scholarship award.
Under the e-Medhabruti scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the students of contributing from Odisha whose parental income does not exceed Rs 6 lakh per year.

This number is 6000 for students who pursue technical and professional courses.

A student will qualify for scholarships for the total duration of the course.
In the category of technical and professional services, only professional UG degree courses and integrated courses that meet the requirements under this head.
According to the feasibility criteria, students must become residents of Odisha.
Students must get a minimum of 60 percent marks in previous qualification checks.
They can apply for Medhabruti’s request only in the year (the first year of the course).
Students study abroad or pursue their higher research through open universities or distance learning / correspondence will not be eligible for scholarships.
The state government has also started a scholarship ‘Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti’ on the legendary name of the Fakir Mohan Senapati to promote Odia language by encouraging students to take higher studies in UG and PG levels.
Under this scholarship scheme, the recipient will get Rs 20,000 at once.
Students who have received Entrance tickets plus III Arts with Odia Subject Honors (First year) at the Higher Education level after passing an inspection plus II with 60 percent marking the aggregate carried out by the Secondary Education Board (CHSE), will be eligible to apply.
for this scholarship at UG level.
Likewise, a MA in Odia students with a 60 percent sign in the subject of Honors Odia can apply for this scholarship.
1,200 UG students and 300 PG can obtain this respective scholarship.
