Application sought for government scholarships

Bhubaneswar: The Department of Higher Education has invited an online application for scholarships under the e-Medhabruti and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti scheme for 2021-22 of students who meet the requirements of pursuit of undergraduate, postgraduate, technical and professional courses and outside the country.
The application form will be available starting January 5 on the website www.scholarship.odisha.gov.in.
The last date for the application is 5.
February 5.
The principal or head of the institution will validate the applicant’s record on February 20.
The government has issued guidelines for student elections for this scholarship.
Under the e-Medhabruti scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the students of contributing from Odisha whose parental income does not exceed Rs 6 lakh per year.
The government will offer 6,000 scholarships for UG and 2,500 for PG students.
There will be 6,000 scholarships for students who pursue technical and professional courses.
Bachelor students will get Rs 5,000 per year, while students pursue PG, technical and professional courses will get Rs 10,000 per year.
A student will qualify for scholarships for the total duration of the course.
In the technical and professional categories, only professional UG degree courses and integrated courses are eligible.
According to the feasibility criteria, students must become a permanent resident of Odisha.
Students must get a minimum of 60% value in the previous qualification examination.
They can apply for Medhabruti only in the year (first year).
Students study abroad or pursue higher studies through open universities or distance learning / correspondence will not be eligible for scholarships.
The state government has also started the Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti scholarship in the name of the legendary Littérate Fakir Mohan Senapati to encourage students to be contributed to pushing higher studies in odia at UG and PG levels.
Under this scheme, the recipient will get a one-time scholarship RS 20,000.
Students who have received permission with Odia as subjects of respect (first year) at the college level after passing the plus-II inspection conducted by the High School Board (CHSE), Odisha, with a 60% sign will be eligible to apply for this.

Likewise, an MA in Odia students with a sign of 60% in BA (Honors) in the subject can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarships will be offered for 1,200 UG students and 300 PG.
