Nagpur: The income department is associated with Tata Trust has developed the mobile application ‘e-peeping forth’ where farmers can upload information about their plants and reduce the workload of talathis.
This application encourages farmers’ participation using technology.
Government resolution was issued on July 30 and and field officers from the Regency Revenue and Agriculture Department had undergone training.
“This application will help farmers to understand what benefits can be secured when their crops go to the market,” said Collector Vimala R.
“Word about this application needs to reach maximum people so farmers can use it,” he added.
This application demo is served at the collector’s office on Wednesday.
This project by the state government will facilitate the planning of the agricultural sector by providing definite statistics about how many areas where plants are.
It will also help the Ministry of Agriculture to provide benefits to account holders for schemes paid for certain plants such as drops or sprinkler irrigation.
The survey will also be useful for estimating areas in cultivation and rice yields, cotton, grams and tour procurement schemes at a basic price.
Some important steps have been taken to implement this project throughout the state.

Farmer registration and information about Kharif plants will be uploaded with photographs from August 15 to September 15.
In the next 15 days, Talathis and agricultural assistants at the village level must verify 10% of the sample and provide final approval through the application.
From October 1 and so on, farmers will be able to upload information about rabbi plants.
Farmers can install this application from PlayStore on their smartphone.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Tata Trust, the Department of Revenue, Maha and Information Center and National Science will work in coordination for this project.
