BHUBANESWAR: The Centre’s decision to cancel the Class-XII board exam must be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday acquired a mixed reaction from pupils.

“There has been much doubt and uncertainty over whether the examinations will be maintained or not.
Now it’s a huge relief which we will not need to visit the examination centers amid a pandemic,” explained Sreya Rath that a Class-XII pupil of SAI International School.
But some pupils said they’re’confused’ and’concerned’ about the other signaling system for evaluation.
The Class-XII consequences will be produced based on some well-defined goal criteria at a time bound fashion, government sources said.
“Class XII has been believed to be the pruning stage of our livelihood.
In most of the classes and institutes I’m applying for higher research, they’re requesting for Class-XII marks.
We haven’t looked for the exams correctly in the previous one-and-a-half years as a result of pandemic and all pupils understand how online examinations are held.
So an evaluation based on our operation in previous examinations might not be honest,” explained Ananya Subhahree, a student of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur.
“The choice to cancel the test for our security is welcome, however we worked hard throughout the year.
Now that may go into waste.
We’re really concerned about the marking method to be embraced,” said Nikita Mohanty, a pupil of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Komna at Nuapada district.
Pupils and parents are demanding the cancelation of their board examinations more than anxieties of Covid-19.
A meeting, chaired by PM Narendra Modi afterwards’comprehensive consultation’ with stakeholders and country authorities led to the choice.
“We advised that the Centre’s decision to cancel the board examinations for the protection of our kids.
