Apprentity requests for appointment on the train without undergoing an unacceptable recruitment process, said the train service

New Delhi: trained internships in railroad companies are given preferences in appointment of others, can obtain a minimum qualification value and meet medical standards, the train ministry said.

Test-based (CBT) Internship Law was changed in 2014 where part 22 of the Act provided the employer had to formulate a policy to recruit trained internships in his establishment.
Based on the amendment, Indian Railways made provisions to provide preference to trained internships in the train company in the open market recruitment to Level 1 post, as far as 20% of the posts advertised.
While this internship appears for written tests along with other candidates, they are given preferences in appointment of others, can obtain a minimum qualification value and meet medical standards.
Therefore, 12504 Level 1 post from 63202 vide CEN 02/2018 is intended for the candidate in the first general recruitment held in 2018.
Similarly, 20734 level-1 posts, from 103769 posts advertised under CEN RRC 01/2019 have been intended for this internship.
Recruitment for this notification must be held.
“This internship requires the appointment on the train without undergoing the specified recruitment process, namely the written test and physical efficiency test requested by all other candidates to undergo still existing regulations,” said press release.
“This demand is not feasible to be accepted because it is a violation of constitutional provisions and assessment of the APEX court in public work matters where any work cannot be given except through procedures involving fair selection,” read the statement.
