Mumbai: City air quality index (AQI) on Tuesday continues in the ‘poor’ category because the horizon is filled with fog at night.

Although Colaba once again recorded AQI 353 (very poor) on Tuesday, more than Monday 345, it remained lower than 379 Delhi.
According to experts, low wind speeds, low temperatures, cloudy weather along with vehicle pollution are proven to be “deadly combinations” for Mumbai, a feature during the winter.
And Tuesday is no exception.
In addition to vehicles and dust, smoke from garbage, chimneys, and incinerators increase the concentration of material particles (PM2.5) which remain suspended in the air for a long time during such weather conditions
