Noida: Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) finally got three bidders that need to be passed by the process to choose a company that will build the first phase of the AQUA channel extension from Noida to Greater Noida.
These are the fourth time he floated bids because they could not find the minimum number of applicants who needed to pass by process.
The Aqua line corridor 14.95km from the Noida 51 sector to Knowledge Park V in Greater Noida will have nine stations in total.
And the estimated cost is Rs 2,294 Crore.
The first phase of the corridor was 9.6 km-long and would have five stations in sector 122, 123, Greater Noida 4, Ecotech 12 and Noida Greater sector 2.

Officials said that the tender for the construction of the first phase of the project was opened on June 30 and the three bidders – gr of infrared projects, Sam India Buildwell and Ashoka Buildcon.
NMRC will announce the last candidate in three weeks after the bid technical assessment.
“We will take at least three weeks to study the offer before choosing the last candidate,” said Noida Metro MD Ritu Maheshwari.

NMRC has canceled the third round of the civil tendering process in February due to the lack of “broad participation” of construction companies.
It invited fresh tender on May 31 this year which opened on June 30.
NMRC first invited a tender in May 2020 and received an offer from three companies.
One of them is not a construction company.
This caused the cancellation of the tender in July.
The corporation invited the tender in September 2020.
He received two offers from the Sam Indian project and the GR Infra in mid-November, but canceled the same thing in November.
The third round was deraved in December and was canceled in February this year.
Working on the AQUA line extension will begin in 2021.
Working on the Greater Noida corridor (sector 51 to the knowledge park 5) will be executed before two other extensions built.
“We have to defend the tender because we don’t get an adequate response.
