Mumbai: Unlike Arya Khan, two other accused of being guaranteed on the same day when he had to live in prison for another night because they could not finish the guarantee formalities despite a panic attempt by lawyers, their families and friends.
Aryan Arbaaz Merchant (26) and the model of Madhya Pradesh Munmun Dhamecha (28) had to spend their 27th night in Arthur Road Jail and Jail Byculla.
Both of them finally managed to get the release order from the court only at 7:30 p.m., they would likely be released on Sunday.
Nine other guarantees by the NDPS court on Saturday made home after released late at night.
Unlike in the case of nine defendants who were allowed to release in cash guarantees while each RS, 50,000, the Bombay High Court who provided guarantees to Arya, Merchant and Dhamecha had set a guarantee amount in Rs 1 Lakh.
Sureting Furnishing is relatively a more complex procedure.
As for Aryan, on Friday itself, one hour after HC regulates the condition of the guarantee at 3.30 in the afternoon, actor Juhi Chawla made a sign of a session court to present himself as a guarantee and signed Rs 1 Lakh bonds, ensuring he was released on Saturday morning, for Merchants and Dhamecha, fulfilling guarantee conditions is more difficult.
As the presentation of one guarantee of RS 1 Lakh is difficult because the certificate of solvency is difficult for them to procure in a short time, Dhamecha traders and families brought seven each person to stand each RS 15,000 respectively.
For MP-based Dhamecha, it is a brother, relatives and friends; Proof of traders including his mother, a brother and others.
For more guarantees than Rs 15,000, one must provide a certificate of solvency from a remote or more moving property.
For guarantees of RS 15,000 or less, income certificates, ration cards and proof of the residence are sufficient, said a lawyer.
The process then starts on Saturday morning, with both families panicking trying to complete the procedure before the court and get a memo release to prison before the cut-off time at 5:30 a.m.
Orders, which are closed, must be placed in a drop box outside the prison.
Dhamecha lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan said the procedure in court was only completed at 7:30 a.m., two hours outside the prison.
Previously in court at 5:20 a.m., Merchant’s father Aslam Merchant said the family hoped the prison would consider delaying half an hour or more.
Aslam claimed that the power outage at 4 pm in court has replied half an hour.
“I met my son in the morning.
He was annoyed with delays and wanted to come out immediately.
Even Aryan came out now.
He was alone,” said Aslam.
Ali Kaashif Khan said they managed to drop the order released in the 8.30 night box.
