Archbishop returns priest kerala on ‘narcotics jihad’

Kottayam: Archbishop of the Changanassery Diocese of Syro-Malabar Church, Joseph Perumthottam, on Monday extended his support for the statement of “narcotics jihad” from Bishop Pala Joseph Kallaragant.
In an article in ‘Deepika’, every day circulating many of the Catholic communities in Kerala, Archbishop writes that narcotics love and terrorism run together and the church, which is the voice of the truth, cannot be silent with such crimes.
He urged them in the public domain to understand the concern of Christian minorities and discuss them with an open mind.
He also urged political parties and the media to improve their discriminatory policies on this issue.
He said that the possibility of Kerala became the main market for narcotics after the ruling Taliban in Afghanistan was very high.
“Both love and terrorism narcotics run together; all must try to eliminate the threat.
Apart from those who have power in this problem will put the country’s future in danger,” the Archbishop wrote.
The Archbishop also urges the state and the center to consider this situation with the maximum seriousness.
Defending Bishop Kallarangt, Archbishop said the church could not be silent when the troops tightened their grip on family security.
“That is why Bishop Kallarangatt warns of some dangers and asking for faithful people to be vigilant to them.
