Ranchi: Continuing with his charity work among the depressed people affected by Pandemi, Archdiocese Ranchi on Monday distributed dry ration packages among 100 people in Ranchi Railway Station.
The package contains a 15 day ration that includes rice, pulses, grams (beans), soybeans and cooking oil.
Since May this year, Archdiocese of Ranchi has been at the forefront of distributing dry rations among Birhor Tribesmen, daily wage workers, slums occupants and people affected by HIV and their families in Ranchi Regency.
The church also distributes cooked foods for patients affected by Covid-19 who recognize in the medical science of the Institute of Rajendra, Ranchi, servants and their relatives.
Speaking to beneficiaries, theodore Mascarenhas, Bishop Ranchi, said that people like coolies, loaders, mason and others, who depend on the normal function of the train to feed their families have been pushed to the threshold of starvation because the train runs limited with many capacity The train was canceled because of a pandemic.
“The Catholic Church thinks of those who need, with love and see the terrible strait where people who work at the station find themselves, the church has decided to come to their help and give them a 15 day ration for their families,” Mascarenhas said.
The church team was led by Archbishop Ranchi Felix Toppo and Bishop of Ranchi Theodore Mascarenhas, among others.
