Paris: Star Indian Archer Deepika Kumari on Monday gets back number one position in a global ranking following a gold medal hat-trick at the stage 3 World Cup here.
The 27-year-old child from Ranchi, who has reached the top position for the first time in 2012, on Sunday claimed a gold medal in three recurve events – individuals, teams, and a mixed pair of women.

He then paired with his husband and a couple from the 0-2 deficit to go down Sjef van den Berg and Gabriela Schloesser 5-3 for a gold medal.
Ranchi’s archer then quoted 17th Russian ranking Elena Osipova 6-0 to face three out of three of three in the recurve woman’s part, her fourth world cup gold medal.
Overall, he has nine gold medals, 12 silver and seven bronze in the World Cup.
“This is the first time I won the three medals at the World Cup.
I am very happy but at the same time, I will continue to improve because we have some very important competitions line up,” Deepika had told PTI after her victory.
