JALANDHAR: Wife of granthi Gurmel Singh, that has been detained for hurting religious sentiments by providing ardas together with reverential reference Sirsa dera main Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a gurdwara at Beer Talab village of Bathinda district, also fulfilled National Commission for Scheduled Castes chairman Vijay Sampla in the Circuit House here on Friday to find safety cover along with financial support in the Union authorities.
Gurmel’s spouse Rajpal Kaur, who’s the village sarpanch, filed a memorandum to Sampla and alleged that her husband had been reserved as he played ardas to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s well-being since the latter has stated that a Dalit could be produced that the chief minister at Punjab.
She wanted that the event the registered against her husband have been cancelled and that she’s supplied security and financial support from the Union authorities as theirs turned into a bad family.
Sampla promised her aid.
He’s reacted strongly to the case registered against Gurmel.
Meanwhile, together with part of a BJP leader arriving for supposedly’handling ardas’ from Gurmel for its dera main, there’s concern at a portion of this celebration that the problem might backfire.
The celebration has largely abandoned it on some Dalit leaders to talk about the matter.
It’s observed that Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh circles will also be worried about the problem because there were few takers for’Dalit angle’ proposed from the BJP.
Except Dalit leaders of BJP, no additional Dalit band or activist has talked on the matter.

“As information are emerging at the situation, there’s possibility of controversy growing larger and carrying a twist which might not be appropriate to the celebration,” said a BJP leader.
“Obviously party wishes to triumph over Dalits also it’s been made quite clear but following this event there were few takers for its Dalit angle proposed by our celebration.
On the other hand, the celebration might wind up answering questions regarding participation of a BJP leader in the entire affair.
The episode could alienate Sikhs farther and bigger questions may emerge,” he explained.
It could be noted here that although BJP leaders were projecting the case was filed from Gurmel, a Dalit Sikh, to get its ardaas (prayer) conducted with him for good health of the PM however complainant in the event urge Harpal Singh Khara had strongly rebutted his promises.
He’s been quoting in the FIR that his criticism was about the reverential reference Sirsa dera primary.
