Ghaziabad: The groom’s video contacted at his own marriage in Sahibabad was widely circulated on the social media platform on Friday.
The police said the groom was reflected by the bride’s family for allegedly not revealing that he was married and also demanded that Mahar.
The incident took place earlier this month.
The groom was arrested on the same day after the bride’s family called a wedding and filed a complaint against him, according to the police.
The man has been identified as Muzammil, a resident of Agra.
“He was ordered under the dowry and cheating and arrested.
He was produced in front of the court and is currently in prison,” said a senior officer from the Sahibabad Police Station.
In that video, some people can be seen surrounding the groom in the banquet hall at Sahibabad.
The groom looks managed and then forged before being saved by a woman.
Police officers said the incident occurred about two weeks ago.
“People who look in the video come from the side of the bride.
They published the man after they knew that he had been married before too.
In the complaint given by the bride’s father, he claimed that the man asked for a dowry,” he added.
The complainant stated that the bride’s father demanded Rs 10 lakh in dowry and threatened to call the wedding if the request was not fulfilled, the police said.
“We have given RS 3 lakh cash and a diamond ring worth Rs 1 lakh.
But the side of the groom was not satisfied,” said the bride’s father in his complaint.
