Jaipur: Two armed robbers stormed into the chomu branch of the Indian central bank and fled the employee scooter after stealing Rs 15 Lakh from the dome room, minutes after the bank opened on Tuesday morning.
The suspects also fired one round of their firearms to create panic, claiming customers who were captured in small rooms.
The incident lasted almost one kilometer from the city police headquarters.
Robbers looted money from the bank in the extensive daylight at the Jaipurthe Heist who dared to start shortly after 9:45 a.m., a few moments after the bank opened.
Employees and customers dripped when the two gunmen fell to the bank.
While someone keeps the guard behind the glass door, the second robber waves his gun and asks customers and employees to enter the restroom.
Because more employees and customers began to enter the bank, the defendant stabbed them with firearms and pushed them to the restroom.
About nine people were captured in small rooms and their cellphones were taken.
According to Pawan Kumar, a customer, the defendant fired on the bathroom gate.
The robbers ordered one employee to take them to the Vault Bank room with a key.
The defendant was quickly packed at RS 15 Lakh cash into a different bag and took a key scooter from the official Manoj Choudhary Bank and riding.
A few hours later, patrol vehicles from the Lal Kothi police station intercepted a suspicious scooter near the Sangangeri gate.
The vehicle was confiscated with the suspect and was handed over to the Vidhayakpuri police station who was investigating robbery.
However, DCP (South) Mirdul Kachawa said that while the scooter was the same, the suspect had no connection with robbery.
“We have formed eight teams to investigate this problem.
Our team is checking all the evidence and paths to arrest robbers,” he said, adding that city police have found some important evidence.
“We will immediately solve the case,” he said.
In the afternoon, the police commissioner had sent a police fence in ordinary clothing as part of a special team to gather intelligence, and several station officials (shos) from all cities to investigate this case.
Likewise, checkpoints are set to arrest robbers at various points.
