Jammu: On the occasion of Indian Indian Independence Day, the Indian army and the personnel of the border security forces exchanged candy with their Pakistani colleagues across the control line (LOC) and the international border in Jammu on Sunday.
“Exchange at the Loc crossing point in Mendhar and the Poonch sector in Poonch J & K is the size of confidence in the background of a ongoing ceasefire agreement between the two countries, which aims to promote peace and harmony,” Defense spokesman said.
Pakistani BSF and Rangers troops also exchanged candy in all airmail under the border area of Jammu on the occasion of Pakistani independence day on August 14, a BSF spokesman said.
Previously on Eid on July 21 this year, the two powers exchanged for the first time after the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019, where 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
