Jammu: The Indian Army and the security of the border on Sundays exchanging candy with Pakistani forces is deployed along the LOC (LOC) and the International Border (IB) in the Jammu area on the occasion of Indian 75th Independence Day.
“Indian soldiers on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day exchange candy and praise with Pakistani army troops in Poonch and Mendhar Crossing Points along the Loc in the Poonch district,” Defense spokesman said.
“This movement is seen as an increase in the size of confidence in the background of a ceasefire that is ongoing between the two countries and is intended to promote peace and harmony,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Rangers Pakistan also exchanged candy at the border posts throughout the Jammu area.
“Mr.
Rangers and BSF have exchanged candy on the occasion of Independence Day sir in various tops below the Jammu border,” BSF spokesman said.
Earlier on July 21 on Eid al-Fitr occasion, the two powers exchanged for the first time after a Pulwama terror attack.
