KOLHAPUR: Authorities have detained a 33-year-old Army person for allegedly trying to abuse an eight-year-old woman about the Goa-Nizamuddin Express on Monday.
The man allegedly silenced the woman from the train once she cried for support.
But she suffered just a busted leg and a few injuries.
The alleged incident happened between Satara and Lonand railroad stations around 1.30am.
The railway had left from Vasco at Goa, for Nizamuddin station in New Delhi.
Pune railroad police superintendent Sadanand Wayse-Patil reported the woman’s dad is a retired Navy guy.
The household had stopped the train in Vasco to get New Delhi.
“About 1.30am, the accused picked the woman while she was annoyed and took her into the restroom.
She cried for support.
The Armyman hauled out her and flung her from the train.
Fortunately, the train has been slow and she lived,” Wayse-Patil stated.
