New Delhi: Head of the General M M M Naravana’s army discussed various steps to further enhance Indo-US defense and security cooperation with the commander of a US special operating command visit, General Richard D Clarke, here on Thursday.
The two generals also discussed the “mutual interests”, which may include a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan after the rapid progress made by the Taliban to reach the area there, an official said.
Gen Clarke, who was visiting three days to India, then said, “Our partnership with India is very important in the Indo-Pacific, and our team helps provide security throughout the region.”
