Pune: State health service officials on Monday stated that the district currently has around 12 LAKH beneficiaries due to the second dose of Covid vaccines, while 45% of the target population (around 39 beneficiaries of the LAKH) are fully inoculated.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, told TII, “The district has vaccassed 75.9 Lakh beneficiaries with the first Jab and 90% have been given covishield.
Many of them are vaccinated from August last week and so on, making them remain qualify for the second dose in accordance with the norms of the Covishield dose interval.
“He said,” In accordance with our knowledge, around 12 Lakh beneficiaries qualified for the second dose at this time.
With enough vaccines, they must get a second shot on the nearest vaccination site.
