Around 2,000 empty seats on DU, the 5th cutoff is possible today

New Delhi: With more than 68,000 receipts under four Cutoff lists and special cutoff lists, Delhi University (DU) now has less than 2,000 empty seats in various universities.
The university is expected to release the fifth cutoff list on Monday.
According to data provided by university officials, on Saturday – when the payment portal below the fourth cutoff list is closed – 68,849 candidates have secured a chair in the university by completing the payment process.
The university also saw more than 2.14 lakh applications to various courses until now.
Despite soaring cutoff this year, chairs cross college and courses have been filled.
Most colleges see marginal dips with each subsequent cutoff list, which is stated by DU.
The candidates who are looking for acceptance under the fifth cutoff list, can apply to each university at 9 and 10.
November is needed to approve the application on November 11 and the last date for payment fees is November 12.
After the fifth list declaration, DU will release cutoff against a special drive for empty seats, wherever available, on November 13.
While candidates will have up to November 15 to register to college, the last date to make payments and safe seats will be November 16.
Candidates who have secured acceptance in one of the previous lists will not be allowed to find reception under a special drive.
