Nagpur: The theater organizer and appointment of artists in Nagpur, whose livelihood depends on the live show, will be a staging agitation at Samvidhan Square on Monday to re-demand theater events.
The artist, who will perform protests to mark August Kranti Din, told TI that half a season was waste.
“Theater activity really stopped this year.
Not only playing but also music events detained.
Artists and technicians have lost their sources of income.
This is a life situation and death for us,” Charudatta Jichkar, a theater activist.
The rules of ‘chain breaks’ allow theater activities to 50% residential with the appropriate behavior of Covid, but not one single theater event is permitted in the city for the past two months.
“While amateur artists lose their cultural activities, there are hundreds of musicians, technicians, and daily wage workers whose lives depend on this event.
If political meetings and events are permitted, why orchestra is prohibited?” Said Musician Amit Kumar.
The artist has planned to gather at 11 am at Samvidhan Square where the rally will be held to the district collector’s office.
The delegation will submit a demand note to the collector.
Event organizers, wedding planners and music events in the function of marriage suffer great financial losses because they are practically unemployed since lasting months.
