Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced eight ‘guarantees’ for teachers in the state as part of his promise for reform in the education sector if his party won the 2022 poll.
Eight guarantees including creating a ‘similar-Delhi’ environment in the education sector, regular work for outsourcing teachers and contractuals, transparent transfer policies, no non-teaching work, permanent recruitment at empty posts, and a policy for promotion and medical facilities without cash without cash for teachers and family members.

In appeal to Punjab Chairman Charanjit Singh Channi, Kejriwal said two teachers demands the teachers protested water tanks – to fill vacancies and provide permanent jobs – must be received immediately.
“If the Channi government does not do it, so during the next visit to Punjab, I will go to Dharna Teacher and the demands of the teachers will meet with the establishment of the AAP government,” he said.
Delhi cm accused Punjab forcing a teacher to teach in two schools which were 200 km away.
Kejriwal said that non-teaching tasks would not be assigned to the teacher and they would not be involved in the census and other clerical work.
He also promised to fill all empty salary posts.
Kejriwal said that education reform in Delhi was not carried out by Arvind Kejriwal or Sisodia Manish, they were carried out in collaboration with the teachers.
Kejriwal said Delhi teachers have been trained in modern teaching methods in Finland, Canada, USA and the United Kingdom, together with the State Management Institute and similar training will be given to Punjab teachers.
Kejriawal appealed to the teacher to join the party to create a conducive environment for education in the state, change the system and make ‘new punjab’.
