The star gem took the last breath at the age of 80 at his residence in Paldi.
The actor was not married and moved to Ahmedabad with his nephew.

Rathod is also popular in Theater Gujarati and has acted in Hindi films such as’ Agnechepath ‘,’ The Lady Killer ‘,’ Khuda Gawah ‘who starred in Amitabh Bachchan and is famous for his gujarati film which includes’ Bhadar Tara Vaheta Pani’, ‘ Son Kansari ‘,’ Ganga Sati ‘,’ Maa Khodal Taro Khamkaro ‘.
Furthermore, the actor also worked as a photo journalist before entering acting career.
