Kanpur: Zika virus infection count across 100 signs at Uttar Pradesh with 16 more people who challenged infection at Kanpur on Tuesday.
The new state count 106 covers nine men and seven women, including two at the advanced stage of pregnancy from Epicenter Zika Chokerei and other patients testing positive on Saturdays from the nearby Kannaujian district.
16 patients were residents of Harjinder Nagar, Pokharpur, Tiwaripur Kida and Lokan Qazi Khera at The Chaini Hinterland, said Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr.
Nepal Singh.
Pregnant women who contracted a virus underwent an ultrasound test and doctors confirmed their fetus healthy.
“In the report received from King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow on Tuesday morning, seven women who were two pregnant, and nine men had been confirmed to be infected with the Zika virus.
Infected people have no severe symptoms.
All have been stored in house isolation .
About 100 teams have been deployed in the city for source reduction and 15 teams for home samples and sampling.
Also, 15 additional rapid response team (RRT) has been engaged to check the spread of the virus Zika, “adds CMO.
A large sampling campaign is taking place in affected areas, said a senior health official.
“Most patients do not show symptoms.
Door-to-door surveys and sampling of symptomatic people are being carried out.
The instructions have been given for the sampling of pregnant women, especially those in the affected area.
Also, the radiology center has been warned.
If There are problems in fetal development, information must be immediately given to the control room, “the official said.
