As a BMC poll near, Maha to add 9 election environments

Mumbai: The number of electoral environments in BMC has not increased since 2001.
In the first decade of millennium, the city population rose 3.87%.
“As a result, it is necessary to increase the number of representatives,” said the government statement.
Asked whether this would cause a delay in the poll, the official said it was impossible.
The Commissioner of the State Election of the Madan UPS said depends on how fast BMC draws environmental boundaries.
As a first step, the state must issue a regulation on the decision.
“BMC then must present a draft new environmental limit.
Suggestions and objections must be invited from the public and the draft must also be presented to the State Election Election Commission to be approved,” Madan said.
BMC has been on October 26 submitting the final design of the election limits for 227 Mumbai election environments of this.
“With the decision to increase seats, the whole exercise must be rebuilt.
We will return to the square, but this is impossible to cause a big delay in the election,” said a senior civilian official.
However, HITESH JAIN’s election data analyst said there might be a little delay in the poll.
“Sitting the Canporator and candidates have started their campaign and preparation by remembering the existing environment.
But with nine additional wards, all arrangements will be shaken and candidates must redreg their strategy too.
If the number of wards rises, the combination of caste and community will also change in a way Great because this happened after 20 years, “Jain said.
With change, the number of voters in each ward will decrease.
“The average number of voters in each Ward Election is currently 54,000.
After environmental improvement, the amount will be reduced to 51,000, with a 10% margin.
The election population in Mumbai is around 1.24 crores,” said a civilian senior official.
The last time the ward increased in Mumbai in 2002, when the number rose from 221 to 227.
After the 2011 census came out, BMC had a description of re-election to take into account the increase in the population in the suburbs and a decline in the city of the island.
