With the code of ethics for elections to get into force, the efforts of the state government to restart mining have been jammed.

The government issued a notification to form a corporation, but failed to frame the rules for the functioning of the corporation.
The Mining Department compiled rules and sent files to the Legal Department for inspection, but the Law Department returned the file with several queries.
Then in a surprising move, the Minister of Pramod Chairman Sawant announced auction of mining rental in the state to restart mining and set a deadline for December 15 for the same thing.
Eight mining rented identified in Bicholim and Sattari, but the Mineral Exploration Company Ltd has not submitted a final report to make auction.
The final step before the behavioral guideline came into effect was the state government announced the policy to deal with low-quality iron ore dumps lying on private land and the government and inside and outside the rental area.
In this case, the government cannot go further, except to get cabinet approval.
