During the meeting with a high level US delegation led by Deputy Energy Secretary David M Turk, he also said that India’s commitment to promoting its atomic and nuclear programs was not only to provide the main source of clean energy but also the main tool.
Applications in fields such as health care and agriculture.
“In the next 10 years, India will produce more than three nuclear power and is expected to reach 22,480 MW in 2031, from the present 6,780 MW, because more nuclear power plants are planned in the future,” Singh, who is the Minister Science and technology, and atomic energy, said.

He said that it was also important for climate change and mitigation issues.
The two countries also signed up for the transformation of the US-India Gas Task Force.
This will include the emphasis on the intersectionity between bio-energy, hydrogen and renewable fuel with natural gas.
Noting that gamma irradiation technology for food preservation has been distributed with private players, Singh highlights that at present, 26 operational gamma radiation processing plants in the country in the private sector, semi-government and government for irradiation of various products.
Singh also underlined the proposal to build a research reactor in public-private partnership mode for the production of medical isotopes to provide affordable care for cancer and other diseases.

In clean and green energy, Singh said with the introduction of fast biofuels, renewable energy and green hydrogen, India is ready to play an important role in carbon neutrality.
He told that the government had encouraged the adaptation of hydrogen fuel and technology to the mobility sector and many industries such as steel, cement, and glass manufacturing had begun to use hydrogen for heating requirements.
Referring to the collaboration that includes all in the science and technology and academic exchange program, Singh said India has proposed to launch an integrated BIO referral mission where the US actively supports the initiative.
Some fields of research and potential development for sophisticated biofuel collaboration and renewable chemicals and materials have been identified.
At the Front Coronavirus Pandemi, US-India’s science and technology endowmen funds provide 11 bilateral teams under the Covid-19 ignition grant category.
They are working on a solution that includes the initial novel diagnostic test, anti-virus therapy, re-granting drugs, research ventilators, disinfection machines, and sensor-based symptom tracking.
