Asara to distribute 1 lamh sanitary napkin free

Dharwad: Asara Foundation, a social organization that works for the education and development of women’s skills, has produced an initiative to distribute sanitation sanitary napkins that are free from rural expenses.
Director of Rabiya Foundation Mohiddin Manari said on Sunday that this organization aims to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene among rural women.
As part of this mission, the foundation has conducted research on menstrual hygiene among rural women and observed that the majority of women in the village have no knowledge of personal hygiene and the use of sanitation pads.
This foundation has approached several other organizations and also a pharmacy to contribute to this initiative.
Hindu pharmacy located in Panaji in Goa and Delilal Lobo has helped realize this project, he said.
The foundation has identified six villages – Girida, Kattanur, Mahanur, Baagali, Irapur and Channapur in Kundgol Taluk – for sanitation bearing distribution.
On August 11, the foundation will distribute 1.1 lakh sanitation pads free of charge for rural women and high school girls.
This program will be held every month for six months.
Those who are interested in contributing to this novel project can contact the foundation at 91309 54518.
