Sydney: Australia’s Pace Legend Glenn McGrath has been tested positive for Covid-19 days before the pink test played to commemorate the deceased his wife Jane, who died of breast cancer, and was used as a raising of funds to support patients suffering from feared diseases.
When Australia’s opponent in a pink test will be an English as part of the ash series.
The year opening test will be played on the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) icon from January 5.
The third day of the SCG test is known as Jane McGrath Day and still has to be seen if the former Cricketer will change negative in time to attend the event.
McGrath, however, will be virtually present when both parties are served with their loose pink hat.
“Glenn has a PCR test which unfortunately returns positive results,” Chief Executive McGrath Foundation Holly Masters is quoted as in Australian media.
