Ayodhya: Delegation from Sri Lanka visited Ayodhya and served a stone from Epifik Ashok Vatika to Ramjanmabhoomi on Thursday.
Ashok Vatika is a vast garden of Treta Yug In in the ravan kingdom, where Sita is captured.
The location of the park is believed to be the Hakgala Botanical Garden in Seetha Eliya, a punctan city in the Central Province of Sri Lanka close to the Nuwara Eliya resort city.
High Commissioner Sri Lanka Milinda Moragoda, wife of Jennifer Moragoda, Deputy High Commissioner Nileka Kadrugamava, Minister of Federal Sri Lanka HGU Pushpa Kumar, GKG Sarator and Secretary of Secretary of Secretory Deepak Nathani reached Ayodhya and offered Ashok Vatika Stone for the Imam Head of the Temple of RAM, Acharya Satyendra Das.
As reported by TOI on March 20, the stone was from ‘Sita Eliya’, where Sita was believed to have been detained will be used in the construction of the Grand RAM temple in Ayodhya.
Toi also reported that the stone is expected to be taken to India by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India, Milinda Moragoda.
There was a temple in Sita Eliya dedicated to Dewi Sita and said to mark a place where she was captured and where she regularly prayed to Lord Ram to save her.
Speaking with Toi, Acharya Satyendra Das, Head of Imam Ram Temple, said, “Lanka delegation visited the temple in the afternoon and served stones at Sanctum Sanctorum.”
