Ashraf Ghani said the country escaped to prevent ‘flood of bloodshed’

Kabul: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that he had left the country on Sunday to “prevent flooding bloodshed”, when the Taliban entered the capital.
Ghani said he believed “countless patriots would be martyrs and Kota Kabul would be destroyed” if he lives behind.
“The Taliban has won …
and is now responsible for the honor, property, and preservation of self,” he said in a statement posted to Facebook.
“They are now facing a new historical test.
Whether they will preserve the name and honor of Afghanistan or they will give priority to the place and other networks,” he added.
He did not say where he had traveled, but the Afghan media group Tolo News suggested he go to Tajikistan.
