The Asiatic Lion is a new mascot from the Gujarat ban and excise department.
The department has chosen the mascot for the first time since it appears.

A senior officer of the ban department said they chose the mascot after discussing it with the newly chosen ministers.
“If someone doesn’t drink, he can show trust like a lion.
If he is caught drunk, the police will roar like a lion in front of the defendant,” another senior officer said.
The officer added that Gujarat was known for the Asiatic lion, so it was a clear choice as a mascot.
“There are many animals in the state, but lions are part of Gujarat’s identity.
This country is basically known for two things: one for asiatic lions and others for ‘darubandhi’ (ban) (ban).
So, it is very inclined to the asiatic lion of our mascot, “The officer said.
