Assam: 17 positive Covid foreign refugee tests since December 1

Guwahati: Most people who are back foreign are testing positive covid on eighth day lives in Assam since the government’s government tightened supervision of international travelers who arrived in the state.
Since December 1, a total of 17 international travelers have tested positive covid through RT-PCR tests after arrival in the state.
However, there has been no Omicron infection report until now.
The source at the Ministry of Health said the inactive nature of the virus had become a concern.
“Most foreign returns have tested Covid Positive on the eighth day.
According to the new protocol, international travelers need to test the required Covid after quarantine seven days,” a senior official of the State Health Department told TII.
Overall, 1,658 international passengers entered Assam by air from December 1 to Saturday, 15 which was positively tested, while the other two in Tinsukia Regency Assam Top turned out to be infected with Covid on Sunday.
“Interestingly, only one in 15 positive cases, among foreign returned people reported to Saturday, Symptomatic,” added the official.
At Medical Medical Hospital Gahati here, two people who return foreign, including a child, are shown under the observation of Covid detection.
Both of them have now been discarded after negative testing.
The genome sequencing report is around 10 which has been received again by the State Health Department, but there is no positive Omicron.
Initially, positive patient samples were sent to the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) in Kalyani in West Bengal.
However, lately, samples were sent to the North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, above Assam.
Health officials said the threat of omicrons survived in the state because most of the positive cases returned from the UK, USA, Europe, Saudi Arabia and African countries.
Even as a positive level of Daily Covid and case numbers fell rapidly in the state, the State Health Department on Saturday revised the Covid-19 detention guidelines today considering the emergence of the Omicron variant.
From Sunday, the new night time will start at 11:30 a.m.
to 6 in the morning, not the previous time at 11pm to 5 in the morning.
The curfew will not apply on December 31 even though given the new year celebration.
On Saturday, only 56 cases were detected in the state with a level of 8.39%).
The recovery rate has touched 98.67%, while the number of active Covid cases in the country fell to 757.
However, Guwahati’s capital still remained under the radar as 573 the highest cases had been detected from Kecatrupup (Metro) in Indonesia in Indonesia.
