Guwahati: Police on Saturday night arrested a man for allegedly persecuting underage in Brahmajan tea park in Gohpur Assam in Biswanath district.
Nibhas Haipal, which was accused of 32 years old, was arrested with the help of the Village Defense Party (VDP) in Lakhimpur Regency.
Police Gohpur said, “On July 28, a complaint was received in connection with the persecution of a little girl by Haipal.
Therefore, a case is registered under various parts of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and children’s protection of sexual violations (Pocso) .
However, the defendant fled.
Then, we got feedback about him shelter in Lakhimpur.
A police team rushed to Lakhimpur and arrested with the help of the VDP.
“police further said the accused was produced before the court on Monday and sent to the custody of the judicial.
“The victim’s statement was recorded,” police said.
According to complaints, the defendant has persecuted a minor for a long time.
But, the problem was revealed after the minor told this problem to his parents.
Without delay, they filed a complaint with the Ghahigaon Police Station in Gohpur on July 28.
Meanwhile, the local residents demanded exemplary to the defendant.
